Andy was a wonderful young man and we were all so proud to have known him. He was an outstanding member of the Sunderland RNLI, and from the tender age of 15, he dedicated all of his spare time to volunteer and as a result and after years of hard work, became the youngest Helmsman in the UK.

He dedicated most of his working life to gaining his flying qualifications at University and at Flight Training College.
He was a fantastic pilot who achieved his dream of becoming a First Officer with an airline.

Andy was tragically taken from us on 10th February 2011 when the aircraft he was co-piloting crashed on landing into Cork airport in Ireland.

Andy was not a lover of flowers and so instead of paying your respects with flowers, we know he would appreciate donations towards the organisation that was close to his heart.
