Story

Andy was a true friend and colleague of mine on the RNLI lifeboats at Sunderland. It is almost 2 years since he was tragically killed in a plane crash at Cork airport. Taking part in this event is my little way of repaying the fantastic friendship he gave me over the years. A fantastic breathtaking opportunity to zip wire across the River Wear. On the same weekend that Sunderland’s streets will be filled with the runners and spectators for the Marathon of the North, Half Marathon of the North and the Sunderland City 10K, I will be zip wiring across the river. Feel the adrenaline rush as you experience the thrill of speeding through the air descending from the giddy heights of Wearmouth Bridge, across the River Wear, landing on the southern side at Panns Bank.
